The Iranian company Apadana Ceram, founded just four years ago, made its international debut at Cersaie 2008 with a stand inspired by oriental atmospheres.
This marks a further step forward in Apadana`s process of rapid growth which is establishing the company amongst the leading players in the ceramic sector.
Apadana Ceram boasts highly significant figurer (see Ceramic World Review 66/2006). The facility located strategically at Qazvin, 180 km from Tehran, is probably the largest in the world with a structure that extends for a length of 970 meters over a covered area of 250,000 square meters.
Production started up a few months ago and will include all types of ceramic tiles to a total volume of 30 million sq.m/ year, setting Apadana Ceram at the top of the rankings of Iranian tile manufacturers.
It is no coincidence that the company is named after the royal palace of Darius the Great in Persepolis, which is also stylized in the logo.
At Cersaie we met Bijan Javibi, sales, export and marketing director of Apadana Ceram, to discuss the company`s latest news and future projects.
